Introduction of Highway Aggregates
Highway construction imposes strict requirements on sand grading and particle size distribution, particularly regarding the needle-punched flake content of crushed stone. To meet the requirements for consistency, cleanliness, and a particle content of 0.075 mm in terms of grading, shape, and composition, Sanme has integrated a new type of sand making machine into its production line to meet the requirements for aggregates for cement and asphalt road paving.
Highway Aggregate Production Process
The aggregate crushing process is divided into four stages: coarse crushing, medium-fine crushing, sand making, and screening.
Stage One: Coarse Crushing
The rocks extracted from the mountain are evenly fed by the vibrating feeder through the silo and transported to the jaw crusher for coarse crushing.
Second Stage: Medium-Fine Crushing
The coarsely crushed materials are screened by a vibrating screen and then transported by a belt conveyor to an impact crusher or cone crusher for medium crushing. The crushed stones are conveyed to the vibrating screen via a belt conveyor to filter out the various particle sizes. Stones meeting the customer's particle size requirements are conveyed to the finished product pile via the belt conveyor. The impact crusher or cone crusher performs further crushing, forming a closed cycle.
Third Stage: Sand Making
The crushed material is larger than the two-layer screen and is conveyed to the sandblasting machine via a belt conveyor for fine crushing and shaping.
Fourth Stage: Screening
The finely crushed and reshaped materials are screened by a circular vibrating screen to obtain coarse sand, medium sand, and fine sand.
Note: For powdered sand with strict requirements, a sand washing machine can be added after the fine sand. The wastewater discharged from the sand washing machine can be recovered by the fine sand recycling system. This helps, on the one hand, reduce environmental pollution and, on the other, increase sand production.

The stone production line is characterized by a high level of automation, high production efficiency, low operating costs, high output, and high productivity. The discharged materials have adjustable particle sizes, resulting in a high crushing rate and energy savings. The resulting grain size is uniform and has an excellent shape, meeting the national standard for road aggregates.
